About Mobile Electric Our Goals and Services Mobile Electric is a women-owned full service wholesale electrical supply company and we are very excited to announce that the Federal Government recently certified us as a Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB). We also are certified by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), by the State of Washington Office of Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE), by King County as a SEDB, by the City of Seattle Boost Program, and as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) for WADOT. To our knowledge we are the only electrical wholesalers in Western Washington with these certifications. SDB/WBE/DBE allows opportunities for quotes on federal jobs and trade with any agency currently using federal money. Mobile Electric is already involved with contracts with our local City and County governments. Many local companies (e.g. Boeing, Microsoft, Qwest etc.) also have diversity programs and quotas that are not government mandated requiring use of WBE firms. Some of the projects that we have worked on and are currently working on with our WBE/DBE certifications are the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, the Seattle Convention Center, Sound Transit-Link Light Rail, Mercer Arena, McCaw Hall and the Brightwater Waste Management Project. We have been established for over 50 years and our management team has been in place for over 40 years.
